COACHING & MENTORING

How we can work together

Every client is different. Here’s what I offer, how it works, and how we’ll shape it around what you actually need

WHAT I OFFER

Two distinct ways of working

Coaching and mentoring are different things — and knowing which you need is a good place to start. Many clients find they want elements of both, and that’s fine too.

Coaching

A dedicated space to explore what’s shaping how you lead.  I don’t give answers — I ask the questions that help you find your own, more clearly and with greater confidence.

  • Sessions of 60–90 minutes, typically monthly though we’ll find a rhythm that suits you
  • Conducted on video, so geography is no barrier, wherever you are in the world
  • A block of sessions to start, with flexibility to continue as the work evolves
  • A safe, stretching space.  Warm and human, with genuine challenge when it’s needed
  • Exercises and homework to help you grow

Best for: Leaders navigating complexity, transition, or a sense that something keeps repeating.  For those who want depth, not just technique.

Mentoring

Drawing on my own leadership experience, I offer a practical sounding board for the real-world challenges you’re carrying — particularly in complex, high-stakes environments.

  • Negotiating with CEOs and very senior executives

Best for:  Leaders who want an experienced guide on specific operational, financial, or organisational challenges.  Someone who has genuinely been there..

MY APPROACH

Most coaching works on what you do. This works on why.

My coaching is grounded in psychodynamic principles.  However you don’t need to know what that means to benefit from it.  In plain terms, it means we pay attention to what’s underneath the surface.

Your habits, reactions, and blind spots as a leader didn’t appear from nowhere.  They were shaped by experience;  the roles you’ve held, the environments you’ve worked in, and the beliefs you’ve formed along the way.  Most of the time they run on autopilot, quietly shaping every decision and relationship without you realising it

When you can see those patterns clearly, you can choose something different. That’s what this work makes possible.

This is coaching, not therapy.  We may explore your history where it’s relevant to your leadership today.  Our focus is always on decisions, behaviours, and results in your role right now.

Patterns become visible

We identify the recurring dynamics in how you lead, decide, and relate…including the ones that operate quietly, out of view.
Insight becomes action

Understanding why you do something is only useful if it changes what you do.  We keep one eye on the insight and one eye on the practical shift.
The relationship is the work

How you show up in our sessions often mirrors how you show up at work.  That dynamic itself becomes useful material.
Change that sticks

Because we work at the level of belief and pattern rather than just behaviour, the shifts tend to be lasting rather than temporary..

NEW OFFER

in your corner

Sometimes you don’t need a full session. You need a trusted, experienced voice, quickly, on a real problem, in the moment it matters.

In Your Corner is a monthly retainer that gives existing clients ongoing access to me via WhatsApp or LinkedIn DMs.  Ask a quick question, share a dilemma, sense-check a decision, or get a voice note back when you need a perspective you can trust.

It’s not a substitute for deeper coaching work.  It sits alongside it, for the moments between sessions when something comes up and you want a calm, knowledgeable voice in your corner.

Pricing discussed upon enquiry

  • Monthly retainer — flexible, cancel anytime
  • Access via WhatsApp or LinkedIn DMs
  • Responses within 24 hours on weekdays
  • Text or voice note — whatever suits the question
  • Quick questions, sense-checks, decisions, dilemmas
  • Available to existing coaching or mentoring clients only
  • Works best when I already understand your context and challenges
  • Not a crisis service or substitute for a full coaching relationship
  • To give you genuinely useful responses I need to understand your context, your organisation, and the way you think. That’s only possible once we’ve worked together.
